I just had LASIK done at Boston Vision this month and I genuinely can’t say enough good things. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel completely at ease — they were warm, professional, and answered every question I had without making me feel rushed. The process itself was smooth and well-organized. Everything was clearly explained at each step, which made a huge difference since, let’s be honest, having a laser near your eyes is a little nerve-wracking! But the team’s calm confidence put me right at ease. The recovery was faster than I expected, and the results have been absolutely incredible. I went from depending on glasses or contacts every single day to waking up and just… seeing. It’s hard to describe how big of a difference that makes in daily life. If you’re on the fence about LASIK, Boston Vision is the place to do it. Couldn’t recommend them more highly.

My name is Rose, I had been struggling with my vision for over a year, and decided to get an evaluation from Boston Vision. They recommended LAL and the surgery improved my eyesite close to a 20/20 vision which was such an improvement! After these great results, I reffered my friend Ron Sikora to Boston Vision regarding cataract surgery. We discussed our conditions together and Ron was considering an evaluation with Boston Vision. He planned to visit, but he just recently become aware of another excellent opportunity for treatment much closer to where he is living. Both Ron and I are happy with our treatments are feeling healthier. There have been minor complications after the surgery, which was to be expected. Boston Vision took care of me immediately and I'm happy to be a long time customer of theirs now!

It's been 2 months since I had LASIK on both my eyes. I was originally opposed to any sort of surgery on my eyes. I had a friend who recently had it done and was ranting and raving over the results. Between that, and my vision which I had noticed I had been struggling with, especially at night, I changed my mind and decided to go for the consultation. BV made the process very smooth and recommended me for the surgery after determining I was correctable. The surgery was very quick and everyone in the OR was very attentive. My vision was very hazy after the surgery, but very clear. After taking my nap, the haziness was gone. The next morning I was able to drive to work crystal clear. I have noticed lights are much brighter now, but they are bothering me less and less every day. I've been told after several more months it will continue to clear up. So far, it looks like I'm on track for that. I recommend anyone with a vision issue to at least go for the consultation. It's probably not as bad as you think.

I recently had LASIK surgery at Boston Vision, and the surgery itself was quick, easy, and painless. The only real discomfort was some pressure while the laser was cutting, but even that was very manageable. By the end, my face was wet from the water they spray in your eyes, but that was hardly an inconvenience. The most challenging part of my experience was the process leading up to surgery, which was a little confusing. At my first appointment, I was told I was a good candidate for both CLE and LASIK. I initially decided CLE would be the best option and scheduled with Dr. Brenner. When I met with him, though, he explained that given my age (52) and the fact that I don’t have cataracts, he wasn’t comfortable with the risks associated with CLE. We then decided LASIK was the better choice. Dr. Brenner gave me a monovision contact lens prescription to try, and that worked well. The confusion started when our schedules didn’t line up and I ended up scheduling surgery with Dr. Gregoire instead. When I arrived for surgery, he was concerned about the contact lens prescription I had tried and didn’t think I would be happy with the outcome. That made me uneasy, but I appreciated his honesty. We decided not to move forward that day, and instead I tried another prescription and came back two weeks later. I’m very glad we took that extra time. The second prescription was much clearer, and once we confirmed that, we moved forward with the surgery. Now, just three days later, my vision is nearly perfect. I do notice that later in the day my eyes feel more tired, but I was told that should improve over time. Overall, while the path to surgery was a little confusing at times, I highly recommend Boston Vision. The doctors were thoughtful, cautious, and committed to making sure I got the right outcome rather than rushing the process. If you want, I can also turn this into a shorter Google review version that sounds a little more natural and less formal.

Overall, I am optimistic about the procedure I had done. I have used contacts for most of my life and was really looking forward to the LASIK procedure to finally be able to wake up, open my eyes, and see clearly. I was not completely sold on Monovision and unfortunately, I'm still not. The adjustment is a longer process than vision correction, so I am disappointed in just how much my current vision is affecting my day to day thus far. Any individual considering Monovision should be fully prepared for a 30–90-day adjustment following the procedure. During the procedure, I felt the surgical team did a great job communicating what to expect and what was happening in the moment. Each follow-up appointment was fast and informative. Although my surgery was performed at the Brookline office, I found that everyone I encountered in the Milford office was very kind and reassuring. Overall, I am happy I made the decision to get LASIK but with my current knowledge I may have decided against Monovision.

I had LASIK done with Dr. Melki and am so happy with the results. I was looking to do LASIK because I had astigmatism and was tired of wearing glasses all of the time and contacts not being a perfect match for my eyes. After doing a lot of research, I found Boston Vision. I was experiencing dry eyes with contacts so I was pretty nervous about the procedure and how I would feel after but everything has gone extremely smoothly thanks to the follow up appointment and guidance from Dr. Patel. In the operation room, I think the doctors could tell I was nervous so they walked me through the entire procedure when it was happening and tried to distract me by asking some questions during the actual laser part which helped a lot. In total, the procedure was extremely quick. I went home and took a nap and woke up being able to see pretty clearly. I’m only a few days out from LASIK and still have some light bursts at night but it’s improving very quickly and should go away as I heal more. Overall, I would recommend Boston Vision to anyone looking to do vision correction!

I got my Lasik surgery done today! It was a long time in the making, everything went smoothly. The time in the operation room is quite short (10-15 mins max), during the procedure there will be a feeling of intense pressure on your eyes (10 seconds max) and then you'll be shifted towards the laser (again only 15 seconds max for each eyes) you wont feel too much, for me it was just a bit of burning. Afterwards I slept for a couple hours and since waking up been feeling great (eyes are just a little tired and sore). Its been really cool to be able to see far distance already! :)

After years of having to wear glasses and contacts being told I was a good candidate for lasik was amazing. The experience was amazing and very well run. I was in the office for about an hour an half an the surgery wasn't as bad as I expected. The staff was very nice and professional and an Dr. Keshav was great

My appointment was only about 1.5 hours. Everyone was pretty friendly and inviting and the location was very clean. I was asked who I would like to listen to music wise and they played Teddy Swims for me during my procedure. I sang the lyrics in my head helping to distract me. They asked questions to help distract my mind as well. Dr. Brenner did talk through out the process letting me know what eye we were doing, the worse is over and that I was doing great. Over all my experience was very pleasant

I was on Ortho-K lenses for 5 years and had pretty good results considering I'm a week in. I picked the clinic for being doctor-run, for not being a LASIK factory, and for having Wavelength+ which is an advancement. Although SMILE (which isn't offered here) is also advanced and widely considered less risky for side effects, Wavelength+ has an edge in terms of results because it calculates based on your entire eyeball. I had 20/20 vision the day after. It's now a week after my surgery and I have 20/15 vision which is even better. In contrast: my sister got SMILE, needed a revision, and a year later still gets blurry vision at night. Side effects: I do have blood splotches and stinging in my left eye which they said should fade 2 weeks after surgery, and glare which is very noticeable when I look at bright phone/TV screens that they said should fade 2 months after surgery. The assistants who help you before your surgery are awesome! The african american woman who saw me (I forgot her name but I want her to get credit...Monet??) came off as kind, trustworthy, and clear at communicating what she knew and even what she didn't. The surgery itself was not nearly as uncomfortable as I thought. I heard people say it's "excrutiatingly uncomfortable" despite being painless. If you're used to Ortho-K, these sensations won't phase you tbh. They provide a take-home-kit after surgery with goggles, sunglasses, antibiotic steroid eyedrops, and preservative-free lubricant eyedrops. Points of improvement: - Their process for taking in Ortho-K patients isn't well-oiled. The assistants didn't know that I had to stop wearing my lenses for any period of time beforehand, so I did a bunch of tests at my first evaluation for nothing. - The surgeon here, Dr. Melki, has a stacked resume and a lot of experience but his personality pmo. Luckily you don't have to speak with him much. His personality may have actually worsened my left eye's recovery? During surgery, they flatten your eyes one at a time and instructed me to keep looking at a circle with my left eye. But as my eye flattened, the circle appeared to shift into a corner. He sounded annoyed while saying I "really need to follow instructions". When I said that I WAS following them, he went silent. On the third attempt I figured out that I should actually IGNORE his instructions and focus on what my right eye saw to ensure my left eye didn't shift, but my eye was hella sore.

I've always had dry and red eyes with allergies my whole life, so I was very hesitant about which procedure to move forward with. I went with LASIK after being a candidate for that and ICL (as well as PRK). The procedure went great. I was worried after because I feel like I moved during the procedure, but the staff was very reassuring. My eyes were terribly dry and irritated for weeks after, requiring some follow up with the optometrist and a few regimens of steroids. It was scary to think that might last forever, but the Boston Vision team took great care of me. The dryness mostly resolved around 3 months out, and now 5 months out everything is great. My vision isn't as perfect as it was with glasses (it was previously 20/15), but it is 20/20 and I have no need for glasses at the moment.

The procedure was fast and the whole process very streamlined. The first days were uncomfortable. After the procedure, I had natural anxiety that I would move the flap or get an infection, which I did not. The close follow up appointments help with reassurance. I am over 2 months out from the procedure now and have 20/15 vision in both eyes. I am still bothered by halos and light sensitivity in general. My eyes are dry at times but not too bad.

The process couldn’t have been easier! I have dreamt of having my vision corrected forever. I was nervous about the procedure but everyone at Boston Vision put me at ease. A little discomfort during the procedure but no pain. I am 6 days from LASIK and my vision is better than 20/20! Besides a little dryness I am feeling completely normal. I am so happy I chose Boston Vision, thank you to the team!

This was my second LASIK procedure, an enhancement, and my overall experience was excellent. Dr. Melki was incredibly professional, attentive, and responsive throughout the entire process. He took the time to answer all of my questions as we evaluated whether monovision or a bilateral adjustment would be the best approach for my needs. I ultimately proceeded with the bilateral adjustment and felt very confident in that decision thanks to his guidance. The professionalism of the entire staff and the quality of the facility were outstanding. Everything was well organized, and I felt supported throughout each step of the process. For those considering a LASIK enhancement specifically, there are a couple of details I would suggest being more clearly communicated during pre-op preparation. One is that, prior to the procedure, there is a step where the surgeon lifts the previously healed corneal flap while you are seated upright. This requires you to remain very still, and it was not something I recall being emphasized in the pre-op materials or videos. Additionally, while it is clearly communicated that you must have a driver on the day of the procedure, I would strongly recommend also having a driver available for the day-after follow-up appointment. In my case, my flap required minor smoothing to ensure proper healing and to prevent potential visual disturbances such as blurriness or light sensitivity. This involved numbing the eye and briefly lifting the flap again, which temporarily affected my vision afterward. Having transportation arranged for that appointment would be a wise precaution. Lastly, during any flap-related steps, whether on procedure day or during follow-up, remaining as still as possible is extremely important to ensure the best outcome. Overall, I had a very positive experience and would highly recommend Dr. Melke and his team to anyone considering LASIK or a LASIK enhancement. Their professionalism, communication, and quality of care were excellent.

It is amazing to me that we have the technology and expertise to cut open someone's eyes with a laser, burn off just the right bits, and put everything back together, all in less than 15 minutes and they can walk out the door with a pair of sunglasses. I was back to 95% in a day, and 100% in a week. The procedure was quick, and although it was mildly uncomfortable, that was it. I went home and took the 4 hour nap, stayed in a dark room the rest of the day, and returned to pretty much all normal activity the next day. I used the drops as suggested, and my eyes were back to feeling completely normal after a week. The staff at Boston Vision are extremely competent and professional.

I had Lasik with Dr. Brenner on February 13. It was a great experience, and I'm super happy with the results. My appointment was at 7:30am. Once I was there, they completed the checks, gave me a Xanax, and I went into the operating room by 8:30. I was home by 9:00. I had no pain during the procedure. The first machine when they cut the flap was a bit uncomfortable (feels like a ring of pressure against your eye socket) but everything was quick. When they finished, and I walked out, my vision was slightly cloudy but I could already see pretty clearly! It was hard to keep my eyes open and for the first few hours. There was definitely a bit of burning and some grittiness. I took a few Advil before I fell asleep and that helped a lot. Once I woke up ~4 hours later, I didn't have any pain. My eyes just felt like I had dry contacts in them. It took a few days for my vision to stabilize (and is continuing to improve). I was -6.00 in my left eye and -5.50 in my right, with a decent amount of astigmatism. By my Tuesday checkup I was 20/20 in my left eye and 20/25 in my right. My vision was still a little off because of corneal swelling, but it gets better every day. All in all, I could not recommend Boston Vision enough.

I had LASIK 6 days ago with Dr. Brenner and it is already life changing! I can't believe I waited so long to do this. I had always been curious but thought maybe I would get through child birth years, let technology advance, etc. My eyes had become too tired to handle the astigmatism contact lenses for more than a couple hours. Now I can see with no hassle - can't wait to do things I could never fully appreciate before - anything from snorkeling to just falling asleep without any additional steps! I took care to be extra hydrated before and after surgery with cutting back on/out caffeine and alcohol and taking fish oil, but I don't know that those steps were necessary as much as helpful for me in feeling like I was doing my best to prepare.

The team at Boston Vision made the process very clear and very streamlined. I didn't meet Dr. Melkhi until right before the procedure, but Dr. Lee walked me through everything and prepared me well. The surgery itself was super quick and they communicate with you throughout as to how it's going. I recommend having someone to take care of you that day. Day of, my eyes had a burning sensation towards the end of my 4 hour nap but the dry eye drops helped me soothe that. After the surgery, I still saw a little blurry/cloudy for the week following - now after 2 weeks it is so much better. Be patient!

What a great and quick experience this was! Procedure was done by Dr James Gregoire, he was quiet but confident and informative with every move he made. His team was friendly and chatty (in a good way to reduce anxiety and make conversation). Pre-op and follow ups have been done by Jaylin (probably spelled that wrong) and Dr Stephanie Dunker and let me tell you what a power team that is! Amazing personality and absolutely incredible people skills and communication skills! 10/10 would recommend this entire team at the Andover location! A week out from my surgery date and I would say my vision is at about 90% when it comes to clarity. A bit sensitive to light and extremely bright headlights.

I had my surgery 5 days back on 06-Feb-2026 for monovision. I had some anxiety before surgery and had all these doubts about my dominant and non-dominant eye test. I got the dominant eye test done again before the surgery just to make sure my vision is corrected right since I opted for Monovision. I took the Xanax they offered and they were kind enough to take me first in for surgery. The surgery itself went well and I had no pain during or after surgery. I had followed the post-op instructions to the T. I started enjoying the near vision for reading and watching the phone and monitor without any glasses the next day. My far vision for the left eye (dominant eye )was little blurry the next day. The doctor (Dr Melki's assistant) who checked my eyes the next day was very kind and mentioned each eye heals differently and my eyes and flap were all good based on his tests. Within two days, I was able to see TV fine and can see distance with my left eye fine. I am still getting adjusted to the far vision with Monovision. especially when there is less lighting .I sometimes feel that depth difference. Dr Melki did mention it will take about 3 weeks to get adjusted to the Monovision. I am hoping my distance vision will seem more natural and adjusted soon. I will come back and report in a month on how it got adjusted. I am experiencing some dryness in my eyes when I wake up in the morning ( cold weather could be the reason). I use artificial tears when I wake up to alleviate the dryness. Hoping the dryness will go away soon as well. Overall, I am glad I did the Lasik surgery at Boston Vision with Dr Melki and team.

I signed up for lasik on both eyes to get 20/20 vision and right before the surgery I was talked into monovision by Dr Melki. It's been 10 days since the surgery and although my distance vision is definitely better, my eyes still haven't fully adjusted yet. It's been frustrating, but I'm doing my best to stay patient and I know it takes "2-3 weeks" for my eyes to fully adjust to the monovision. My reading vision was strong before the surgery and I've found it a struggle to focus on reading right when I wake up, but it adjusts over time and after eye drops. I'm hoping to come back in another 10 days or so and adjust the rating on my experience to 5 stars, but I'm not there yet.

It has been 10 days since having my Lasik, monovision procedure. First, I would like to I say the staff and doctors at Boston Vision were incredible. All persons I had contact with were pleasant, professional and accommodating. The procedure itself was quick and painless. I opted for no medication and found it was actually beneficial for me, no groggy feeling as it wears off. All in all, the procedure was non-invasive, a little pressure, a bright light and some eye flushing. Before I knew it, I was done and walking out the door with a pair of sunglasses and eye drops. UPDATE!!!! It has been about 30 days and I am adjusting well to the whole MONOVISION experience. I will say, I do get some dry eye symptoms on a regular basis and it causes some blurry vision for distance and up close but after a eye drop treatment it clears up completely in about 30 minutes. LEt me know if I can help in anyway. Still a gresat deceision I followed all post operation procedures and had some dry eyes in the mornings or after a nap/rest. The recommendation of placing the artificial tears eye drops in the refrigerator provided a little extra comfort. No other issues or pain at all. For monovision, I was a little hesitant with the decision but I have seen the benefit of NO GLASSES! The first few days was challenging where I could notice the strong eye (distance) to the weak eye (reading) but I have noticed as time has passed a more unified vision. I have been assured that it only gets better from here and I am confident the Boston Vision will make that a reality. UPDATE!!!!!! It has been 30 days now and I am adjusting to the MONOVSION well. I do get dry eye symptoms regularly and treat them with the lubricating eye drops. The symptoms include some blurry vision, both upclose and for distance, but clears up completely in about 30 minutes after a drop treatment.

Has lasik monovision for both eyes today. The surgery went smoothly from checkin to post-surgery check-out. The process was slightly uncomfortable but that’s the nature of the procedure. I live in Northern Maine where there really aren't any good eye doctors or clinics. So when I decided to look into getting LASIK for my astigmatism, I started searching for a good clinic. I found Boston Vision, noticed that they have stellar reviews and that they use the most modern technology available to get the best results possible. I knew that this was where I wanted to go for the procedure and it just happened to be somewhat close to home which was a plus. For the initial consultation I met with several members of the team and was impressed by their professionalism. That day, I also found out that Dr. Melki would be doing the actual surgery as well, which definitely set my mind at ease. Dr. Melki is the founder of Boston Vision and his bio/resume includes more accolades than I can write about in this review. Before the surgery, Dr. Melki made sure to set my expectations and answer any questions I had. And now that the surgery is completed, my moderate astigmatism has been corrected using cutting-edge WaveLight+ technology. I can see clearly out of both eyes without glasses or contacts for the first time since childhood. I'm very happy that I made the decision to get Lasik, grateful that I had Dr. Melki and his team for the procedure, and I couldn't be happier with the results!

Got lasik last friday with Dr. Brenner. Can't believe I didn't do this earlier. The next day I had 20/15 in one eye, and almost 20/15 in the other. I was spending $800/year in astigmatism contacts, so this both saves money and is so much easier. Surgery itself is not painful, just odd. I had no pain since, only some halos around bright lights for the first few nights. I was disciplined in sticking to the drops regimen. The craziest part is how at night I can see so well before bed, and the habits of 15 years of contact use is screaming in my brain "its time to take them out, dont sleep in your contacts!" But I have to remember this is just my vision now.

The whole experience with Boston Vision was 5 star from initial consult to post op. I was having challenges with distance and hated wearing glasses. Seeing closeup was not a challenge so they recommended mono vision so I could retain close up in 1 eye and use the other eye for distance. The doctors and surgeons were responsive and answered all my questions. The surgeon recommended I wear contacts to demo the mono vision before committing to the procedure which was a really good idea and I would recommend this to others. The entire procedure took less than 20 minutes and with the exception of some dryness for the first could weeks it couldn't have gone smoother.

I was spending $600 to $800 per year on contacts that constantly dried out my eyes, and traveling with them was always stressful. I decided LASIK would pay for itself over time, and I am extremely glad I did it. I am about a month out from surgery and have virtually no remaining symptoms. I had significant redness in my right eye that subsided over the two weeks following the procedure. Post-surgery dry eye has also improved significantly and is now hardly noticeable. I gave 4 stars instead of 5 for two reasons: First, there was a lack of communication surrounding the Xanax requirement. You are not allowed to Uber home if you take it, which I was not aware of and would have coordinated a driver. I was also told I would be up next for surgery, but ended up waiting about 3 hours before going in. Without the Xanax, I naturally became anxious during that wait. Second, there was a lack of communication around the intensity of the procedure itself. I assume it felt more intense than normal without the Xanax, but the pressure on your eye is hard to overstate, as is the difficulty of staying focused on the light when your vision goes dark and other elements (water, instruments) are in your eye. As a result, the team had to attempt to secure my right eye about 5 times before moving on to the left, then return to the right. I suspect this is why my left eye’s vision is noticeably sharper than my right. It felt like they proceeded because the right eye was close enough, but I could tell it wasn’t quite perfect. That said, I do have 20/20 vision overall. I was just hoping for a bit more crispness and clarity in my right eye. I may consider a correction at some point.

I received LASIK surgery for distance in both eyes four days ago. The procedure itself was only about 10 minutes, but I was in the office for about 1.5 hours total for pre-op scans and meeting with the surgeon. I felt no pain during the procedure, just some pressure when they used suction. As a result of the suction, some blood vessels did pop in both eyes. The suction did not hurt, but I did experience vision loss for about 30 seconds in each eye. Post-op, my eyes did tear, had a burning sensation, and were sensitive to light. Although sunglasses were provided, I recommend bringing your own to wear immediately after the procedure to feel more comfortable. I initially thought four hours felt like a long time to need to nap and keep my eyes closed, but it was the perfect amount of time. After the procedure, you want to keep your eyes closed whether you are tired or not, and after four hours the burning was essentially gone, the tearing had subsided, and I could already begin to see. At this point in my recovery, I am very happy with my vision and am at 20/15. I am seeing starbursts around lights, particularly at nighttime, and hope those go away with time. Overall, I am very happy with how the surgery went and how my recovery is going.

The entire procedure was done in ten minutes! The pre screenings were very thorough, and the doctor answered all of my questions. I had rainbow auras around lights for 5 or so days after and my eyes hurt quite a bit for one day, but I could immediately see almost perfectly!
