We have vision coverage through VSP, which is how I found Boston Vision. My initial call with the patient rep for Lasik was very helpful - I got all my questions (cost, logistics) answered, and I was able to get an appointment for the consultation at the closest location to me (Wellesley) a few days after the initial call. At the consultation, I was advised that Lasik would be ideal for my situation - I was also curious about PRK, and was open to either procedure. I was also advised to consider monovision given my age, which I did opt for (the videos that the group sent me prior to the consultation were helpful in explaining the benefits, so I was already sort of leaning this way). Since this procedure was something I had been considering for a while, I booked the next available date for surgery, which happened to be the following Friday at the Brookline location with Dr. Melki. The visit for the surgery was very straightforward - after spending some time in the waiting room and having some confirmatory measurements performed, I met with Dr. Melki and he explained how the procedure would go. There were no surprises - it went exactly how it was described, and was over in 10-15 minutes. I didn’t experience any pain or intolerable discomfort. I was taking an Uber home, so I didn’t take any sedatives - but I don’t feel like I missed them at all.

In the days following surgery, the only discomfort I experienced was in the morning from the “bandage” contact lens that was placed in my right eye during the surgery - the same kind I’d previously experienced if I fell asleep with my prescription contact lenses in. But that went away immediately after putting drops in, and stopped being a problem altogether after the lens was removed on my three-day follow-up visit. The starburst-like effect from lights that’s apparently characteristic of these procedures was pronounced on the first day after surgery, but I feel like that diminished over the course of a few days. It’s been just under a week since the surgery and I don’t currently view whatever remains as problematic or impairing in any way. I’m very happy with the results - I should have done this sooner. I probably would have been happy even if my vision had not improved after the first day, so the improvement I experienced due to continued healing and acclimation is remarkable. I have no regrets about going with monovision - despite the under correction in one eye, I don’t feel like my distance vision is lacking in any way. There was only one hiccup through the entire process: the office was very busy on the day of my procedure, and so I ended up waiting a while (most of the 2-3 hour time quoted for the procedure seems to be waiting). I ended up spending most of that time staring at my phone. Apparently, I shouldn’t have done this - it resulted in the confirmatory measurements needing to be redone a few times, presumably due to the strain I placed on my eyes. I’m not sure how much of a difference it ultimately made, but I’m reassured by the fact that they spent the extra time to try to get the most accurate results. In short: I have no reservations about recommending Lasik if it’s something you’re considering and are eligible for, and would highly recommend Boston Vision as the provider.

I recently had LASIK done at Boston Vision with Dr. Melki and I honestly could not be happier with my experience. The entire team and staff — doctors, nurses, everyone — were incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout the whole process. They always made sure I felt comfortable, safe, and answered every question or concern I had. The follow-up appointments have also been very easy and quick, which made recovery much less stressful. Special shoutout to Rick, who helped me with scheduling and payments. He was always responsive through email or phone calls and helped me with anything I needed. He truly made the process smooth from start to finish. The LASIK procedure itself only took about 12 minutes, and my results honestly exceeded my expectations. I ended up with 20/20 vision in one eye and 20/15 in the other — which is even better than I had with glasses! I do not regret my decision choosing Boston Vision at all. If I had a time machine and could go back to before the surgery, I would still choose Boston Vision in Brookline every single time. Definitely worth the money, and as a celebration I plan on throwing all my glasses into Boston Harbor!

I went with Boston Vision for Lasik because of many referrals from prior clients who had lasik and ICL surgery. From my first consultation to the post op appointments, they didn't miss a beat. Everyone was very professional, organized and each appointment was on time. What was unique was at my in person consultation they had me schedule my surgery and post op appointments with someone via zoom. This helps save time for the doctors and staff to work with patients and save the administrative time. The surgery was quick and painless. I opted for monovision and its been one week since surgery and am doing well. My eyes are still healing so I won't know the full outcome for a few months, but I like how I can see now.

Hi all, I did my Lasik procedure over the past week with Dr. Melki, and I genuinely want to say this was the best decision of my life. The first day you will asked to close your eyes for 4 hours (highly recommend) so that you give your eyes some time to heal post operation. After the 4 hours your sight will already be so much better than without glasses. I went from being -4.0 to having 20/20 vision within the first week. The only hard part about this whole process is when you go into the surgery room. Just make sure you are relaxed, hold still throughout the operation, and breathe. The operation only lasts 7 minutes per eye which is a short period of time and honestly it doesn't even hurt when the procedure is happening. Ensure that you use your prescribed drop for the recommended days and you will be feeling better by the first day. Try and avoid the sunlight for the first couple of days but yeah its an easy recovery process.

I had Lasik monovision surgery with Dr Melchi last Friday 5/15. Dr Melchi met with me before the procedure and took time to address my concerns as I was a bit nervous. I never felt rushed and he really made me feel confident and ready so that was great and much appreciated in the moment. The procedure itself was a bit uncomfortable but was exactly as described by the doctor and his OR team. I did feel the burning sensation on the way home and was very tired for the remainder of the day so I just slept for most of it and the burning soon subsided upon waking from the first nap. I did experience the start of dry eye the next morning and continue to do so but hoping that will subside in the coming weeks as my eyes continue to heal and I am generous with the artificial tears. I reached out to Dr Melchi the morning after surgery about some divots in my eyelids upon waking which resolved an hour or so after blinking, likely also related to dry eye. Dr Melchi promptly responded and I appreciate his willingness to be easily accessible to address any concerns after surgery. I have adjusted well so far to monovision and really enjoy not needing to wear glasses all the time! I would highly recommend Dr Melchi. His level of confidence and expertise is exactly what you want in an eye surgeon.

I had Lasik with Dr. Melki on Friday, 5/15 at the Brookline office. I have been wearing glasses/contacts since I was 6 years old. I am now almost 1 week out from surgery and currently have the clearest and sharpest vision I have ever had in my entire life. The actual procedure itself was a little more uncomfortable than I expected, but it was over quickly. There was more pressure on the eye than expected, but it was never painful. The worst part for me was being fully aware of everything that was happening, but again, it is over quickly. After the procedure my eyes were stinging/burning for 3-4 hours, but I wouldn't necessarily say it was painful. To me, it felt like I had sunblock or soap in my eyes, but if I kept my eyes closed as suggested it felt fine. I went home and went right to sleep for a few hours as instructed, and woke up with completely clear vision the same night. By the 1 day follow up, I could already see significantly better. I did not really experience any blurriness or halos or anything of the like. I would definitely recommend LASIK with Dr. Melki. All of the staff at Boston Vision were extremely friendly and professional, including the other Drs. I saw for my consultation and post-op appointments. The excellent vision I now have definitely outweighs the minor discomfort during the procedure and the few hours afterwards.

My review of the surgery is in my previous post, but as a Functional Nutritionist I wanted to share some aftercare tips on how to nourish post-surgery to help your eyes heal! Lean proteins (chicken, eggs, salmon, tofu, lentils, and Greek yogurt) rejuvenate eye cells, strengthen fragile blood vessels, and rebuild delicate eye tissue. Omega-3s (capsules, salmon, tuna, chia seeds, and walnuts) alleviate post-surgery dry eye symptoms, support retinal lubrication, and manage swelling. Vitamin C-rich foods (oranges, grapefruits, strawberries, kiwi, and red bell peppers) stimulate collagen synthesis, speed up overall wound healing, and reduce surgical inflammation. Leafy greens (spinach, kale, collard greens, and broccoli) provide vitamin A to boost cellular function and lutein which protects the recovering retina. Zinc and vitamin E-rich foods (almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and avocados) transport vitamin A from the liver to the retina while shielding healing tissues from cellular stress. Beta-Carotene rich foods (sweet potatoes, carrots, apricots, and cantaloupe) are essential for the retina, supporting night vision and keeping eyes properly lubricated. To get the most out of your eye-healthy foods, pair them with healthy fats like olive oil, nuts, or avocados to increase nutrient absorption. Be sure to avoid processed sugars, really salty foods, and alcohol because they can add unnecessary pressure and swelling, as well as dehydrate the eyes which can prolong healing. Stay very hydrated, aiming towards half your body weight in ounces of water daily to flush out metabolic waste and keep your eyes lubricated. Happy healing!

I read a lot of reviews prior to getting Lasik where many people expressed that you would only feel a little bit of pressure, some water, and then a light show. I would like to express that I certainly felt more sensation than that during the procedure, it is rather uncomfortable with a lot a pressure, very bright lights, and poking of the eyes. However it is very short and goes by fairly quickly. You will want to shut your eyes immediately after the surgery as that is the most uncomfortable part of the whole process, for me the discomfort lasted about 2 hours. I had set up a bed in the back of my dad's car so I could lay down for the ride and I set up my room with water and snacks, and had shut all the blinds before I left so I could go straight to my bed when I got home, which I highly recommend. After those initial few hours, there has been no discomfort and my sight already significantly improved in the first day. The day after the surgery things were a bit hazy but, again, significantly better. The only sensation I was feeling on day 1 and now day 2 is that it feels like I have dry contacts in my eyes but that's when I use the eye drops and it goes away. I also do have the blood splotches on my eyes, but that is common, not painful, and will go away. So, all in all, I am already very happy with the surgery, though it was much more uncomfortable during the procedure and the initial 2 hours than I was expecting.

Had LASIK done with Boston Vision at the Brookline location. Overall very smooth process with professional staff who explained the procedure, risks/benefits, and made me feel comfortable throughout. The procedure itself was about 10 minutes max with minimal discomfort other than some pressure from the device used to create the flap. I'm about 2 weeks post-op and I'm still experiencing some vision fluctuations and halos but able to function fully without contacts for the first time since 5th grade! Would absolutely recommend to anyone considering LASIK!

I've worn contacts/glasses since the fourth grade and always hated it. Glasses never seemed to fit right and contacts would dry my eyes out on long days or rip/fall out at the most inopportune times. I never considered Lasik though until I talked with my eye doctor about it. Since my prescription had been consistent for so many years and I had insurance that would cover part of the procedure he recommended I look into it. The staff at Boston Vision were great and I was scheduled for an assessment quickly and the surgery shortly after that. The procedure itself was a little jarring but the fact that I could see as I was leaving the office was mindblowing. The best part though was waking up the next day and just being able to see everything right away. No glasses, no contacts, just starting my day able to see. It's life changing

What made me decide now was the time for Lasik? I've been thinking about it for a while, and after a visit with my eye doctor, he said I was a good candidate and recommended the team over at Boston Lasik. I am a father of 3 wearing glasses and contacts with a -2 and -2.5 prescription to see far away. As many parents know, it's a lot to throw contacts in everyday and/or wear glasses and most recently my kids stepped on my eye glasses. Naturally, I thought that was a sign and ultimately my deciding factor for why now. I met with refractive optometrist Nirali Patel and Surgeon Dr. Vinny Keshav in the Milford, MA location. Both were very thorough in the free LASIK consultation, I went back a second time because I was a candidate for either Lasik or PRK, ultimately they recommended Lasik given the thorough scans taken of my eyes. They answered all my questions and made me feel at ease throughout the entire consult stage. Come surgery day, I had mine done in Andover, MA and again they were very thorough with rechecking my eyes and walking me through all the steps leading up to surgery and post surgery. Dr. Keshav did my surgery and made me feel at ease the entire time, he explained to me every step before it was about to happen and in a matter of minutes it was finished. I'm very glad I decided to get Lasik, and I'm very glad I decided to go with Boston Lasik. I would highly recommend it to anyone considering to meet with the team at Boston Lasik.

I had LASIK in my right eye with Dr. Brenner at Boston Vision Brookline one week ago and I am loving the results. My vision has majorly improved (20/15 now) and the dry eye side effects are improving each day. The procedure itself was very quick and smooth. All of the staff were incredibly kind and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Brenner in particular was fantastic and he answered all of my questions. During the procedure itself I felt some pressure and it was a bit uncomfortable but overall was very easy and took less than 10 minutes. I highly recommend Dr. Brenner and Boston Vision.

The entire process was smooth and well managed. I couldn’t believe how quickly the process was, particularly on the day of the procedure. I was in the OR no more than 10 minutes. Painless procedure apart from pressure with the flap. Went home and took the 4 hour nap recommended. I did not experience any significant pain/burning and have had no dry eye two weeks out! I used the drops as recommended and use the lubricating drops 1-2 times daily at present. My 1-day preop confirmed 20-15 vision in both eyes. Occasional blurred vision as my vision is adjusting post-op. But generally clear vision day 1. I have noticed slight halos/starbursts with lights. Although this is improving with time. Couldn’t be happier!

I had lasik monovision correction 3 days ago. In terms of my care at Boston Vision- I've felt very supported before, during, and after the surgery. It is true- the longest parts of the whole process is the vision testing before the surgery! I was in the OR for a very short time. Dr. Brenner has a great bed side manner, he's very personable and conversational - even during the procedure which helped me calm down. The beginning of the procedure was the part I had the most anxiety through- there is a lot of pressure around the eye/on the orbital bone and your eye sight goes out for a few seconds which can be a little scary. Dr. Brenner let me know that portion was only 15-20 seconds and it was the worse part- he was right. I kept mentally thinking "this is temporary..." and that helped. The lasering does not hurt, I had no sensations from that except a slight "burning" smell only with one eye. After the surgery I went home (had to eat with my eyes closed because of "tiredness" feeling, constant tearing, and overall drowsiness from the anxiety medication). I went right to sleep and slept comfortably for 4 hours. The first 3 full days I experienced discomfort (grittiness, tiredness, headache above my eyes, some itchiness in the corners of my eyes and an overall "fuzzy" tired feeling that made me want to rub my eyes but I knew I couldn't!) If I looked at my phone for more than 10 mins or so I felt straining on my eyes. I did a lot of sleeping day of surgery, and the following day. Day 4 now, and my eyes feel much more normal. Eye sight is still blurry some and I have a fair amount of light glare and rainbows around lights. If you have the ability to take a couple days off from work, major responsiblities in the couple days following surgery day, I think it will help. I've found myself just wanting to lay down and close my eyes and rest. I've had a headache every day but tylenol has helped (I'm also just a headache sufferer at baseline with stress). My left eye with astigmatism was under-corrected (monovision) so that I would have an easier time reading up close. So far, it causes my distance vision to seem "off" and I can't wait for that eye to catch up a bit and normalize. I'm hoping I end up liking it, but right now it's almost like I forgot to put that contact in, if that makes sense. Happy to answer any questions for anyone! Boston Vision has been great!

I decided to get LASIK on a Saturday. I did research on LASIK providers in Boston that weekend, and by Sunday afternoon I used Boston Vison's online form to schedule a consultation for Monday. The consultation was smooth and easy, and at the end I scheduled the procedure for Friday. Friday was a breeze: a scan of my eyes (to calibrate the laser), a meeting with the surgeon, then the actual procedure itself. I spent less than 15 minutes in the actual operating room. Boston Vision is clearly very experienced with LASIK, and it's clear they've optimized their whole process to make it as comfortable and patient-friendly as possible. I wish I had done this sooner!

I had an incredible experience at Boston Vision for my LASIK surgery yesterday! The entire team was exceptionally helpful and answered every single inquiry, truly making me feel that no question is stupid. The procedure itself was super fast and the worst part I'd say is the anticipation in the waiting room. While the ride home afterward was definitely uncomfortable, following the recovery guidelines strictly is key. I made sure to take the recommended 4-hour nap immediately. Once I woke up from that nap, I was feeling so much better—the initial stinging and watering had decreased significantly. I am already seeing so much better on day 1 after surgery and highly recommend this to anyone that's thinking about doing it! Please feel free to reach out with ANY questions at all!

I had a great experience with Boston Vision. When looking into where to book for LASIK my main requirement was I wanted to be confident going into surgery that I had one of the best surgeons possible for the procedure. Reading about Dr. Melki's experience and qualifications was the deciding factor for choosing Boston Vision over any other establishment. The procedure itself was really quick, I had a lot of anxiety before and during but the staff was amazing at reassuring me and talking me through everything. My vision improved almost right away, and recovery was smooth. Dr. Dy completed my pre and post evaluations and was super nice and answered all my questions. Overall, definitely worth it—so nice not needing glasses or contacts anymore. My only regret is not investing in LASIK sooner.

The surgery was very quick (~10 mins) and I experienced only minor pain during it. The staff were exceptional and made sure that I was comfortable at all times. Post surgery, I did have more pain than expected but it lasted for less than an hour and when I awoke from my four hour nap, there was very little pain at all. I was able to go about my weekend plans with no issue. While I do have some lagging redness in one eye, it has improved some already and I have been advised that it is common and should be gone within a few more days. Overall, I have been very happy with the experience. The recovery is quick and I now have 20/15 vision. I would highly recommend.

Everything with Boston Vision was simple and painless. The initial consultation is scheduled very quickly once you reach out, so be prepared for this. You won't be waiting weeks or months for an appointment. The staff and docs are very thorough and explain everything in detail and are happy to answer an y questions you have. After all the initial testing we discussed options and determined the best plan of treatment for me. Unfortunately, life got in the way and I wasn't able to proceed. 9 months later I was ready and the follow up consult happened just as quickly. The LASIK surgery itself is was quick and painless. There was a bit of discomfort once home because my eye (only had one done) was watering so much, but within a couple hours that was done and no more discomfort. Didn't even need to take Tylenol or Advil. My vision was better the same day of the surgery. It is awesome to be able to read everything on my phone on the smallest font without reading glasses. Grocery shopping the next day was better because I could read all the vegetale and fruit codes on the stickers without glasses. Truly a life changing experience that I would recommend to anyone.

I had scheduled a free consultation that involved a comprehensive eye exam and then the doctor went over all of my options. I was able to schedule the procedure a month out so that I could give work enough notice. The staff was helpful in answering my questions and helping me with paperwork. On the day of the procedure, they did the eye exam again and switched from PRK to LASIK now that I had not been wearing my contacts for several days, my cornea scans/topography were eligible for LASIK. At least I was nervous because I had been preparing for PRK for a month. The surgeon reassured me that he was confident with going the LASIK route. The procedure was painless, there were moments of discomfort and I could definitely feel the pressure with the suction and eyelid speculum, but it was over in minutes. I came off the table with clearer vision already. I followed all the post-op care and in a week, I went from about 20/400 to just about 20/20. At this point, dryness is still an issue with the tear film stabilizing so I am still using preservation-free eye drops every day. Night vision is improving and I am able to drive home from a late shift safely. I had been wearing glasses and contacts for 22 years so it is unbelievable that this was all corrected in about 15 minutes total.

Only good things so far. The next day follow up my vision was 20/20 (prior to surgery was 20/15). The second follow up on Monday, I was back to 20/15. Minor glare issues persist but it hasn’t even been a full month and it is slowly getting better. Quick and efficient process. Happy with my decision. Prescription was around -1 to -1.5 on both eyes for reference.

I had LASIK at Boston Vision with Dr. Melki, and overall, it was a great experience. From consultation to surgery was just one week — a quick turnaround that I appreciated. The process was smooth from start to finish. One tip: if you have VSP vision insurance, make sure to ask about the discount upfront — it wasn't volunteered, but once I asked, it was applied without issue and made a meaningful difference in cost. A few days post-op I developed some symptoms that had me worried about complications. Boston Vision got me in promptly for a check, and everything turned out to be fine. That responsiveness really stood out. At day 10 my vision isn't perfect yet, but I'm already glasses-free and seeing well. Fully expecting continued improvement as I heal. Would recommend Dr. Melki and the Boston Vision team.

I had LASIK with Dr. Melki and am currently 5 days post-op. The procedure itself was a little painful (nothing extreme) but incredibly quick. It was done in under 15 minutes. The first day after, there was some slight dryness, but the provided drops helped. Since then, my eyes have been recovering wonderfully. My vision is better now than it's ever been, and I expect it to continue to improve over the next few weeks. Before my procedure, I was informed that I had significant astigmatism, but the procedure could still be done and I'm happy I went through with it. Regarding all the appointments I had with Boston Vision, they were always professional and quick.

I had LASIK done 4 days ago by Dr. Melki and 3 other assisting doctors. I had mild nearsightedness around -1.25 to -1.50. The LASIK procedure improved my left eye to 20/20 and my dominant right eye to 20/15 or better. It’s unfortunate that LASIK outcomes have a degree of luck to them. But I’m glad to have found a nearby clinic with WaveLight Plus so I can have a good chance of getting a minimum of 20/20. I originally wanted to do ICL but my myopia was out of range. I was relieved that the clinic did many tests, multiple times, and included some tests with dilating eye drops. The office staff were accommodating and the wait times were short. The technicians were very thorough, patient, and friendly. Between the consultation doctor, surgeon, and followup doctor, each gave many opportunities to ask questions. Though the bulk of information about LASIK is better researched at home with multiple sources, Boston Vision provided many resources of information such as videos, online documents, a Q&A site by Dr. Melki, and this site HowDidItGo. The surgery was fast and painless. But the most uncomfortable part was when the machine applied suction and pressure to my eye. The laser was painless, though the smell of it working was strong and unsettling. After the surgery, my eyes teared up and stung a bit for a few hours. This quickly went away. The only part of getting LASIK that gives me great anxiety is some of the side effects. Anything with high contrast has a glow. Such as white text on a black background or brightly colored objects. All lights have glare. I also have slightly hazy vision. I get eye strain when using my phone or computer for too long. When I brought these problems up during followup, I was told to allow my eyes time to heal. I’m only 4 days into recovery so the odds are that the majority of distracting side effects will subside in the upcoming weeks and months and perhaps a year. So I will have to be patient and see how lucky or unlucky I am. I limit computer use, lowered the brightness on all devices, try to blink more, take frequent breaks, and only read things at arm’s length. This has helped a lot. I suspect that the doctors did all they could to make the procedure go smoothly with minimal risk, but LASIK will always be a calculated risk with some side effects and what’s done is done. Other side effects I have are dry eyes. But this is manageable with eye drops and wearing sunglasses to shield my eyes from the wind. My vision fluctuates in step with my dryness or after using artificial tears. I see glare and some starburst on bright lights, especially at night. But this isn’t much of a problem because it’s very situational. I had light sensitivity but it quickly disappeared. I have not experienced haloes, blurry vision, distortion, or double vision fortunately. If I had to list the negatives. It would be that my followup doctor didn’t arrive to my 1-week followup and there appeared to be no established backup plan at the clinic. Also, as much as I liked how in depth the Informed Consent explained and showed examples of the side effects and risks, it would’ve been ideal to have easy access to this information earlier in the process such as on a website. Though to be fair, it seems that most LASIK clinics won’t go in depth on the reasons not to get LASIK until you’re ready to commit to the procedure. And Boston Vision either emailed me or posted more information online than many other LASIK clinics. In the end, I won’t be recommending people to get LASIK over glasses because of the unpredictability of the results. But if you absolutely hate being heavily dependent on glasses daily, it’s a valid option to be weighed against contacts and ICL. Boston Vision seemed like the solid choice of clinic for me. I’m 1-2 hours away from the clinic and it strikes the best overall balance of surgeon reputation, technology, price, and distance.

I had LASIK with Dr. Melki, and I am now 4 days post-op. Process was efficient and smooth. All expectations were met the day of procedure. During procedure felt a minimum amount of pressure, but all in all, was in and out of the office within 3 hours of scheduled appointment. Rested the remainder of procedure day. Slight discomfort the 1 day post-op, however by the 2 day post-op, everything was fine and seeing well.

I had LASIK with Dr. Melki, and I am now 3 days post-op. The process on surgery day was quick and smooth. After the initial eye measurements, one eye was covered while I waited about 40 minutes before being taken into the operating room. Dr. Melki and two attendants performed the procedure. During the surgery, I felt some pressure and a lot of irrigation while staring into a very bright light, but the procedure itself was over in less than 10 minutes. I had taken a sedative shortly beforehand, and I did not experience any pain during the operation. Afterward, I was sent home with protective eye gear. On the 20-minute drive home, I noticed some mild discomfort, mostly a grainy, slightly stretched feeling in my eyes, but after sleeping for about 8 hours, I woke up feeling very little discomfort. I’ve been staying off screens as much as possible since my eyes get tired more quickly, but I have not experienced any blurry vision. Now, 3 days post-op, I am continuing to use my eye drops and wear the protective eye shields as instructed. At my follow-up appointment, I was told that my vision is healing well. So far, I’m very happy with how smooth the experience has been and with my recovery progress.

I had LASIK monovision at Boston Vision Brookline exactly a week ago and I’m loving my long distance sight results so far. I can’t see very clearly up close yet, but I’m hoping that will resolve over the next few days. The staff at Boston Vision was top tier. Everyone, from the front desk staff, to the doctors and technicians, treated me with the utmost care. They encouraged me to ask questions and they shared as much detail about my procedure as they could. During the procedure they kept me informed at all times and answered questions I posed. I was very nervous about the procedure, and they made sure I was completely comfortable before, during and after. The two doctors who saw me for my first two follow ups were knowledgeable, knew my case well and treated me with the same care as my surgeon (Dr. Brenner) did. I called a couple of times with logistical questions and the staff were friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this practice. When my short distance eyesight is fully back, I’ll update my review.

Incredible professionalism from everyone at Boston Vision. I had my monovision LASIK performed two days ago and feel great! Dr Keshav clearly explained every step in the process before and even during the surgery. The day after, I was able to drive myself to the post op appt and can see better than I ever have in my life. I highly recommend going to Boston Vision for your vision correction needs.

Before my procedure, my vision was –4.25 with astigmatism. I actually chickened out FOUR times before finally going through with LASIK, fifth time was the charm! Boston Vision was incredibly patient and understanding the whole way through, which made a huge difference for me. I was honestly surprised by how easy the procedure was. There was no pain at all...just about 10 seconds of slight pressure, and then it was over. The wildest part was that I could already see pretty well as soon as I sat up. My vision was a little blurry for the first day or two, but every morning I woke up, it was noticeably better. I’m writing this on day 6, and I’m already seeing 20/15. I honestly wish I had done this sooner, one of the best decisions I’ve made. Only thing I need for the seeable future are eye drops as they continue to heal!

I had LASIK surgery with Dr. Brenner at Boston Vision, and it was a very positive experience. From the first consultation to the procedure and follow-up care, everything felt organized, professional, and reassuring. I'll be honest - at first I was a little put off by the assembly-line process of the consultation, but I want to assure anyone else with the same concern that when it comes to your care, you will be treated with the upmost care and individualized attention. Dr. Brenner took the time to explain the process clearly, answer my questions, and ensure I felt comfortable before proceeding. I had even emailed him prior to surgery day to ask about my permanent eyeliner, and got a response within a couple of hours. The staff was friendly and efficient, which helped ease my nerves. During my consult, I was on the line between LASIK and PRK. On the day of surgery, it was still a game-time decision. I was pretty nervous making what felt like a huge decision in a matter of moments, but Dr. Brenner answered all my questions and helped me make an educated decision without me feel rushed. The procedure was quick and much less intimidating than I had expected. I felt some mild discomfort afterward, but that was well explained beforehand and went away quickly. I noticed improvement in my vision almost immediately, and it continued to get better over the following days. The aftercare was easy, and my "goodie bag" contained everything I needed. What stood out to me was the level of care and attention throughout the process. I felt well-informed at each step, and never pressured. Literally every staff member that I interacted with was kind and helpful. Overall, I’m thrilled with my decision and would recommend Dr. Brenner and Boston Vision to anyone considering LASIK.

My ICL surgery with Dr. Brenner went very well. It was a remarkably quick procedure - around 10 minutes on the table for both eyes. The recovery was easy. I had very minimal soreness for two days following and some dry eye that was relieved with OTC drops. I saw 20/20 (r) and 20/25 (L) the day after my surgery.

I would highly recommend Boston Vision for LASIK. The procedure was very quick and easy. Some pressure to the eye during the procedure and feels a little awkward but no pain at all. Eyes were a bit blurry when leaving but I went home and took the recommended 4 hour nap. Waking up from that I felt but better. I had mono vision done so I'm still adjusting to that but seems to be getting better each day.

Overall, I had a very positive experience at Boston Vision. The process can feel a bit impersonal given the high volume of patients, with people moving quickly from room to room. That said, I felt confident in the quality of care, which made that aspect less concerning. LASIK was a big step for me. While I felt relatively calm beforehand, I did experience anxiety during the procedure itself. I’m very glad I took Xanax beforehand and would recommend it to others undergoing the procedure (if appropriate for them). The team also let me choose the music in the OR and having ABBA playing definitely helped ease my nerves. Recovery was smoother than I expected. I took ibuprofen when I got home and went straight to sleep, and I was genuinely surprised to wake up with clear vision and far less discomfort than anticipated. The dry eyes, screen sensitivity, and nighttime blurriness are real, but I’ve been reassured these improve with time. One eye is slightly stronger than the other, but I now have 20/20 vision for the first time in my life and this feels like a huge win!

I had LASIK about 3 weeks ago and overall it’s been a really positive experience. The procedure itself was quick and honestly way less uncomfortable than I expected. Recovery has been exactly what they told me, not instant perfection, but steady improvement each day. The first couple weeks I had dryness, some blur, and night halos, but those have been gradually getting better. My vision is already so much better than before, and I can tell it’s still improving. The team was great about setting realistic expectations and has been very responsive with follow-up questions. I’d definitely recommend them, especially if you want a practice that’s thorough and honest about the recovery process.

I chose Boston Vision for my LASIK on April 3, and the results have been incredible. I was quite nervous beforehand, but the team was so friendly and professional that I felt completely at ease. They answered all my questions and made the entire process feel seamless. The surgery itself was so fast and efficient that it was over before I even realized it had begun. Now, just two days later, I am already seeing a lot better without the aid of glasses. While I’ve had some minor dryness as my eyes heal, the recovery has been smooth and the results are life-changing. I would definitely recommend it if you wish to get vision correction.

I had CLE LASIK surgery in December, and overall, my experience has been very positive. From the start, the doctors and staff were professional, attentive, and reassuring throughout the entire process. The post-surgery plan included follow-up adjustments over four weeks, which gave me confidence that my vision would be carefully monitored and fine-tuned. As it turned out, I felt ready by the third adjustment, and my vision had already improved significantly by then. I did the monovision setup, with one eye optimized for distance and the other for near vision. That required time to adapt, but now, it genuinely feels like I have “20/20” vision, everything is clear and sharp. That said, since this is new for me, I’m still getting used to what “normal” should feel like after the procedure. Overall, I’m very pleased with both the results and the level of care I received, and I would absolutely recommend this experience to others considering the procedure.

I had Lasik completed with Boston Vision. I was very nervous ahead of time, but the team at Boston Vision was very friendly and answered all of my questions. The experience on the day of the surgery was wonderful- the team was efficient, professional, and the procedure itself was so fast that I could barely process that it had begun by the time it was over. I had a few days of dry eyes, but I am now a week out from the surgery and am so satisfied- my dry eyes are almost completely resolved and I am seeing 20/15- way better than I even expected! I would do it again in a heartbeat.

I found the staff to be very professional from beginning to end. They made me feel comfortable with the extensive testing they did to assure the LASIK and vision correction were a fit for me. I loved how they helped me relax before the big procedure with snacks and lining up my preferred music within the surgical suite. Parking was easy at the Andover site and timeline was less than expected. Cheers to great vision and glasses free for 2 weeks now.

Overall, I am pleased with my experience with Boston Vision LASIK surgery was something I was looking forward to for a few years. Finally, I received a vote of confidence from my optometrist (not at Boston Vision) and they highly recommended I go to Boston Vision. After an initial, long consult at their Malden office, I was scheduled for surgery at their Brookline office, as they said this was the only office that performed surgery on Fridays. Leading up to the appointment, I was not too nervous. I had all of my questions answered ahead of time, so my mood was more excited than anything. Once there, they performed a quick check of my eyes and I waited no more than 10 minutes to be seen by their staff. Initially, I was led to a room where they checked my eyes once more, previewed the upcoming procedure, and offered me a Xanax to calm my nerves. Then, Dr. Brenner arrived to check my eyes once more. By this point, this felt a little tedious, but better safe than sorry, I suppose. Everything looked good to him, so we waited a short time (assumably for the Xanax to kick in) and then I was led to the operating room. In the OR, you will be asked to lay flat on your back, while their staff plays whatever music you would like. This was a nice touch and helped to relax me. For the procedure, there was more discomfort than I anticipated. The suction necessary for the procedure did create a lot of pressure, causing blood vessels in my right eye to pop. However, the saving grace here is the procedure is very quick. As promised, it took around 15 minutes. Once it was over, I was escorted to a room across the hall where a doctor viewed my eyes to ensure the flap created during the surgery looked flat and settled. Everything looked good to them, so I was sent home. Once home, a strong burning sensation kicked in. It made it difficult to fall asleep for the recommended four hours, so I did take some melatonin. Once I woke up, the discomfort went down immensely. My left eye felt perfect and its vision was nearly as perfect. My right eye, however, felt scratchy, a bit dry, and cloudy. As expected, however, as it was still the same day as surgery. Even so, looking outside, my vision was the clearest I can remember it ever being. It was an emotional experience. I am on day four post-operation now. My left eye continues to feel great. However, my right eye still remains hazy and slightly irritated. I have a follow-up appointment with my optometrist tomorrow and I am curious what they will see. For now, I am looking forward to my eyes continuing to heal and seeing fully in 20/20 vision without cloudiness/haziness. Hopefully in the next few days!

I had an amazing experience and used the Wavelight Plus technology that Boston Vision is the only provider of in the area. Surgery was prompt, fast and easy. After the 4 hour nap I was able to see well. Within 24 hours I had 20/15 vision. I am a week in now and my vision is great. The only side effect is dry eyes that have already been getting better. I 1000% recommend getting lasik with Boston Vision
